Support Our Elder Friars

March 1, 2025 - April 1, 2025In order to safely transport our elder and infirm priests and brothers who have difficulty walking or standing to medical appointments and other important activities, we are purchasing a new wheelchair accessible van. The specialized van is necessary to transport our elder Capuchin Friars to their appointments safely and with dignity. Our Capuchin Friars who have faithfully devoted their entire lives to serving God but now must live in our elder care facility in Beacon, NY. Please share your joy and compassion with Father Claude and our other aging priests and brothers. it is our time to thank them for their selfless service and devotion. I'd like you to meet Father Claude. In his 90's he can no longer walk. Those who know him say they've never seen Father Claude angry. He is a "no frills" kind of person. Nothing upsets him. He patiently waits for the Lord to say to him: "Well done, good and faithful servant! It is your time to come home!"
Father Claude is one of our friars who has faithfully devoted his entire life to serving God but now must live in our elder care facility.Even with their aging aches and pains and occasional forgetfulness, our elder Capuchin priests and brothers promise to keep you and your needs in the many prayers, day and night.
