I believe that the wonder of Christmas cannot be expressed in words, because it is the mystery of a child who does not talk or walk yet. We simply need to be present and to experience the mystery rather than understanding the mystery. The liturgy describes Christmas as the Presence among us. The Christ child challenges us to discover the child within us, who seems to be buried under many layers of worries, anxieties, and fears. Let all worries, anxieties, and fears go, so that the Child may come in and let the child within us play again, smile again, and live again. To discover new frontiers is not difficult at all. Star Trek discovered new frontiers on the TV screen. To discover the child-within is the real challenge and only when we discover, embrace the child within us, and play with him/her, then and only then we experience the wonder and the mystery of Christmas.
